We’re now looking for a Head of CIO Office to take a central role in shaping how Enterprise IT itself operates and develops.

Reporting directly to our CIO and joining the IT Leadership Team, you’ll work across the organization to make sure our strategy, priorities and ways of working come together. At the heart of your role is our IT Operating Model – how different parts of IT work together, how needs are prioritized, how decisions are made and how areas such as service management, applications, technology and security connect.

This isn’t a role where everything is already figured out. You’ll have the opportunity to shape how we work, challenge what could work better and bring structure to genuinely complex questions – while leading the CIO Office team and driving strategic initiatives across IT.

What you’ll be taking on

This is a broad role at the heart of Enterprise IT. You’ll work closely with the CIO and IT Leadership Team, while connecting people and priorities across the wider organization.

You’ll:

• Shape how Enterprise IT works – owning and evolving our IT Operating Model and creating clarity around how teams collaborate, prioritize, make decisions and deliver value.

• Turn strategy into action – translating strategic direction into priorities, objectives and measurable outcomes, using OKRs, KPIs and reporting to help us understand where we’re making progress and where decisions are needed.

• Strengthen IT Service Management – developing our ITSM framework and governance and ensuring it connects effectively with application management, technology, security and the wider IT organization.

• Lead change across IT – driving strategic projects and transformation initiatives that span teams and functions, bringing the right people together and helping navigate dependencies and bottlenecks.

• Lead the CIO Office – developing the team, shaping its role within Schibsted and acting as a trusted partner and sparring partner to the CIO and IT Leadership Team.

A big part of your impact will come from connecting the dots – creating clarity where ownership or priorities are unclear and helping people with different perspectives move in the same direction.

Who are we looking for?

You’re probably someone who enjoys complexity – but doesn’t believe things need to stay complicated.

You can zoom out and see how an organization fits together, then zoom back in and work out what actually needs to change. You’re comfortable challenging existing ways of working, bringing structure to ambiguity and building alignment across teams that don’t necessarily report to you.

And while this is a senior leadership role, you’re happy to roll up your sleeves. You don’t just design frameworks or set direction – you enjoy turning ideas into something that works in practice.

We think you’ll bring:

• Experience shaping IT operating models, governance or organizational transformation in a complex environment.

• A strong understanding of Enterprise IT and IT Service Management, and how ITSM connects with areas such as applications, infrastructure, security and technology development.

• Experience turning strategy into execution through priorities, objectives, KPIs or similar performance frameworks.

• Experience leading complex initiatives across teams and organizational boundaries.

• The ability to build trust, influence senior stakeholders and create alignment without always having direct authority.

• Experience leading and developing teams.

Experience from a digital, product-led and international organization is important for this role, as is familiarity with ITIL and modern service management practices.
