Director Group Financial Reporting
Do you want to lead the Group Financial Reporting and Finance Operations organization, own the end-to-end accounting and reporting framework at Schibsted?
Schibsted’s finance function is now embarking on an ambitious transformation journey, following the acquisitions of TV4 in Sweden and MTV in Finland. We are building a modern, scalable, and insight-driven finance organization to support the largest media group in the Nordics.
To help us achieve this, we are looking for an experienced finance leader to join us as Director Group Financial Reporting.
A Leadership Role at the Core of Schibsted’s Transformation
Reporting to the Group CFO, you will lead the Group Financial Reporting and Finance Operations organization, own the end-to-end accounting and reporting framework, and serve as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders. You will play a key role in harmonizing finance processes, governance and reporting across the Group, while driving the transformation of a modern, scalable and insight-driven finance function. Throug high-quality financial data, trusted reporting and robust governance, you will enable better decision-making, stronger control and greater business insight across the Group.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the consolidation and reporting framework, ensuring quality and consistency in consolidated financial reporting, and sustainability reporting (IFRS)
• Act as senior advisor on complex accounting matters and significant transactions
• Build and strengthen governance frameworks, internal controls, and assurance readiness
• Drive standardization and automation across finance processes • Serve as the primary finance interface towards the Audit Committee and external auditors
• Lead and develop finance leaders and specialists across Group Financial Reporting and Finance Operations
• Contribute actively to building a scalable, future-ready finance function
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a leader who combines technical credibility, strategic thinking and organizational leadership, with the ability to lead through leaders and drive meaningful change.
You bring:
• Proven leadership experience across organizational boundaries and through leaders
• Extensive experience in Group Accounting, Consolidation and Financial Reporting in a multinational environment
• Strong IFRS expertise and deep understanding of end-to-end finance processes
• Experience leading transformation, process improvement and organizational change in complex environments
• High integrity, sound judgement, and the confidence to challenge constructively
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English and either Norwegian or Swedish
