This is a unique opportunity to build the structures, governance, policies, and capabilities that support some of the Nordic region’s most influential news rooms!
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Head of Security & Resilience to lead and shape the future of security across Schibsted and all our brands.
This is a unique opportunity to build the structures, governance, policies, and capabilities that support some of the Nordic region’s most influential media organizations - where security, freedom of expression, and editorial independence go hand in hand.

Own and coordinate the Group’s crisis management capability, ensuring effective preparedness, response, recovery, and continuous improvement.
Ensure that local crisis management teams, plans, procedures, and exercises are established and maintained within each brand and business unit.
Chair and coordinate a cross-functional Security Steering Committee, ensuring alignment and collaboration across the organization's key security domains:

Editorial Security (owned locally by each newsroom)
Cyber Security (led by the Technology organization)
Physical Security (managed by Facilities, including access control, building protection, fire safety, and evacuation preparedness)
Communication related to crisis management and security
Drive coordination across these security disciplines to ensure risks, dependencies, and mitigation efforts are managed consistently and effectively.
Partner closely with Facilities to ensure workplace and office security standards are maintained and continuously improved.
Develop and strengthen the framework for editorial security in close collaboration with editorial leadership and external security specialists.
Ensure there is a process for security assessments and risk evaluations for major events, productions, and public-facing activities.
Ensure there is a process for monitoring geopolitical developments, societal trends, and emerging threats that may impact our people, operations, brands, and journalistic mission.
Advise senior leadership on security risks, crisis preparedness, and resilience-related matters.
We believe you are:
An experienced security leader with the ability to combine strategic vision with operational execution.
Experienced in crisis management, risk management, protective security and organizational resilience.
Comfortable operating in complex, matrixed organizations and influencing stakeholders across multiple functions and leadership levels.
Skilled at building governance structures and driving alignment across diverse security disciplines.
A confident communicator with sound judgment, high integrity, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Passionate about protecting people, operations, and the values that underpin independent journalism and free media.
Why Schibsted?
At Schibsted, you will work at the heart of the Nordic media landscape, alongside people who are passionate about journalism, technology, and societal impact.
You will have a highly visible leadership role with significant responsibility, strong executive support, and the opportunity to make a real difference in protecting the people, operations, and values that enable independent media to thrive.
This is an opportunity to shape and mature security capabilities across multiple leading media brands at a time when resilience, trust, and freedom of expression have never been more important.
