Strategic purpose of the role
As UX Designer, Ad Solutions, you support the development and evolution of Admarket — Schibsted’s advertising platform — by ensuring that we deliver a clear, intuitive, and effective user experience.
Working closely with product managers and engineers, you translate product goals and requirements into user-centred design solutions. Through research, ideation, and design, you help ensure that solutions address real user needs while aligning with business objectives and technical constraints.
You contribute throughout the product development process — from discovery and concept exploration to detailed design and iterative improvements — helping the team deliver high-quality experiences that are scalable, consistent, and easy to use.
Role tasks and responsibilities
Support product and platform development through research, ideation, and design
Collaborate with product managers and engineers to identify problems and shape solutions
Explore and validate design solutions through sketches, prototypes, or interactive concepts using the most effective tools available
Deliver clear specifications and documentation to support engineering implementation
Contribute to maintaining and evolving the design system
Evaluate and improve existing user experiences through research, analytics, and feedback
Ensure that designs meet usability, accessibility, and quality standards
Experiment with new tools and workflows — including AI-assisted prototyping or rapid concept builds — to explore and validate solutions faster
Challenges in the role / special complexity
Designing solutions for a platform used by multiple user groups with different needs and workflows
Balancing usability, business goals, and technical constraints when shaping design solutions
Working closely with product managers and engineers in a fast-moving, iterative product environment
Ensuring consistency across the platform through shared patterns and design system practices while supporting ongoing product evolution
Adapting design workflows and methods as new tools and technologies enable faster exploration and validation of solutions
Developing domain understanding of the advertising ecosystem, including how digital ads are bought, managed, and served across the platform
Hard skills
Experience designing digital products, ideally for web-based platforms or complex systems
Strong skills in user research using both qualitative and quantitative methods (e.g. interviews, usability testing, surveys, and analytics tools such as Amplitude)
Solid understanding of interaction design, user flows, and visual design principles
Ability to translate product requirements and user insights into clear, usable design solutions
Experience working in cross-functional product teams together with product managers and engineers
Proficiency with modern design and collaboration tools (e.g. Figma and related tools)
Knowledge of accessibility principles and how to apply them in product design
